Key features

11 NOAA weather channels + weather alerts
Connect to one of the T478’s 11 NOAA weather channels or turn on weather alerts to stay connected to the weather in your area. Valuable at any time and essential in unexpected weather conditions, the T478’s NOAA features will keep you informed and prepared. Need to charge your device? With Do Not Disturb Mode activated while charging, the T478 stops all communications but weather alerts, so you can stay connected to changing weather conditions without having to listen to radio chatter.

Built-in LED flashlight
The T478’s built-in LED flashlight with its automatic power outage function gives you peace of mind during unexpected emergencies, power outages or evening adventures. Spend less time finding your radio in an emergency; if charging, the flashlight will automatically turn on during a power outage, so you can always have light.

Emergency alert button
With the T478, you can easily access help in a dangerous situation. By pressing the radio’s dedicated emergency alert button, you can transmit a loud alert siren to nearby radios. The alert is followed by voice or sounds from your environment, so others can help you to safety.

Dual power
Maintain battery life in any situation; the T478 comes with rechargeable NiMH batteries for up to 12 hours of battery life. Keep power with the T478’s included charging tray and micro-usb power supply. Nowhere to charge? No problem - AA standard alkaline batteries also power the T478 for up to 28 hours.

IP54 Weatherproof
With an IP54 weatherproof design, the T478 walkie-talkie can withstand the effects of rain, snow and other weather conditions, so you don’t have to worry about your radio breaking in tougher conditions, emergency or not.
